Inviting Pain

Flameworked borosilicate glass, knotted wool yarn (yarn created by my best friend's mom, Kristin Husher).

 

Chris Watts said "wearing glass is like inviting pain". Glass is hard and cold and always ready to break, potentially injuring the wearer. Even when held and supported by soft materials created with love, the glass  is a risk. Is it worth it to carry such an object so close?
